Physiotherapists treat spinal injuries, joint injuries and soft-tissue injuries (which are injuries of muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves). We are also delighted to have on site the expertise of of three podiatrists who are specialists in their field and a qualified massage therapist.  At Apex Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic we treat the non-sports person right through to the professional athlete and treat a variety of conditions from long-term pain to the most recent injuries. The range of conditions that we can help is comprehensive and includes-
  • Back pain and disc problems
  • Neck pain
  • Sciatica
  • Foot pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Headaches
  • Arthritis
  • Joint problems such as frozen shoulder, knee pain, ankle pain
  • Tennis elbow & golfers elbow
  • After surgery for example spinal surgery, hip and knee replacements ..…and many more…

Our main aim is to get you better as quickly as we can but we also help to identify and treat what caused the problem in the first place and therefore provide you with preventative strategies for the future if necessary.

Our physiotherapists primarily use their hands to maximise and accelerate the body’s own natural healing mechanisms. They keep up to date with all the latest treatment techniques by attending local, national and international conferences.  Treatments may consist of mobilising or manipulating joints, mobilising or massaging soft tissues using various painless techniques, the use of spinal traction if appropriate or electrotherapy such as ultrasound. Treatment may be complimented with the addition of a home exercise program tailored specifically to your needs. The exercise program may involve use of a Swiss Ball (a large gym ball) in some cases.

With our team of experienced chartered physiotherapists you can be sure that you’re in safe hands and are receiving expert treatment and advice.

If further detailed investigations are required concerning your condition, or if you need to be referred on to see another medical practitioner we have close links with a network of top consultants and would liase with your GP concerning this.
